Description

The mission of the Department of Literacy, Language, and Culture at Boise State University is to promote and facilitate language and literacy development of all learners within the complex, evolving field of literacy. Nationally recognized faculty provide a balanced approach to reading instruction through literacy classes that address early childhood through adult literacy.

Admission Requirements

  1. Apply to the Graduate College and satisfy the minimum admissions requirements of the Graduate College. International applicants must satisfy the international admissions requirements.
  2. A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution of higher learning or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions Office.
  3. A statement of 500-1000 words that explains your professional goals and the ways in which the program will help you achieve them.
  4. A list of your teaching experience.
